GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The mother facing charges in the death of her infant daughter in western Colorado allegedly said her husband attacked the fussy baby as she listened from another room but she didn't stop him.

Forty-one-year-old Phyllis Wyatt and 29-year-old Matthew Ogden were arrested Monday in Cass County, Minnesota in the death of Sarah Ogden in Parachute, Colorado.

The baby was found unresponsive on June 20.

Wyatt told investigators that she saw her husband violently shake the baby and then heard pounding or thumping noises after he took the baby from their bedroom. When asked if her life was better since Sarah's death, the arrest affidavit says she hesitated briefly before answering yes.

It's not clear if either have lawyers.
