UPDATE: Fatal Crash on Highway 71 near New London

NEW LONDON - The State Patrol has released the name of the person killed in a crash on Highway 71.  They say 64-year-old Betty Boehl of Paynesville died when she was hit broadside.

Boehl failed to stop at a stop sign on Highway 9 and was struck by a vehicle on Highway 71 near New London.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
