MEEKER COUNTY --  A human skull that was discovered last winter is a skull of a man.

Back on January 5, the Meeker County Sheriff's office responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the 66500 block of 340th Street in Forest City Township.

Seventy-seven-year-old James Webster was found dead at the scene. He was a resident at the home and was determined to have died of natural causes.

A human skull was found in the home. Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says investigators believe the skull was given to Webster by a friend.

Cruze says an examination of the skull has determined the man was likely in his mid-40s at the time of death and of White or Hispanic ancestry.

Cruze says witness statements suggest the skull had been at the home for approximately 20 years.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.
