UPDATE: Connexus Energy Lineman Recovering From Burns

MINNEAPOLIS -- A lineman with Connexus Energy is in intensive care at the Hennepin County Medical Center burn unit after an accident Sunday morning while restoring power northwest of Becker.

Thirty-five-year-old Matt Stachowski was on the job after strong storms knocked out electricity in the area.  He has been with Connexus for 15 years.

Stachowski has extensive injuries to his right hand and legs after apparently making contact with a live circuit.

Investigators are trying to determine exactly what happened.

Stachowski's wife Melissa says doctors are amazed her husband is alive and how well he's doing. He is expected to be in the hospital for several weeks.
