UPDATE: Authorities Release Name of Man Killed in Farm Accident

FREEPORT – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the young man killed in a farm accident.

They say 18-year-old Craig Weichmann of rural Freeport died on Saturday afternoon.

Weichmann was a senior at Melrose High School.

Guidance Councilor Molly Dusha says Craig was a special kid.

The football team will be the honorary pall bearers at his funeral.

Officials arrived to find the man pinned inside the silo.

The Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Service of Melrose are handling the funeral arrangements.
