U.S. Senator Klobuchar Talks With WJON About The National Debt, Gas Prices [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - While U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar was in St. Cloud on Monday WJON news had a chance to talk with her on the National debt, which she says is the biggest issue facing the country right now, and also the continued problem of high gas prices.

On the National debt:
President Barack Obama and Congressional Republican leaders are digging in their heels on the national debt.  Obama insists a deal must include some tax increases on the wealthy, but Republican leaders say no way.  Meanwhile, Democratic U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar says there has to be a combination of raising the debt ceiling and reductions in spending.

On the high gas prices:
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar says President Obama's decision to release some of the nation's oil reserves was a good one.  However, she says that it's only a temporary solution to finding a long term energy plan.
