Two People Assaulted, Robbed in North St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD -- Police responded to an assault in North St. Cloud early Thursday morning.

The incident happened just after 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of 9th Avenue North and 6th Street North.

Sergeant Jason Burke says a 51-year-old man from Sauk Rapids and his 28-year-old son from St. Cloud were assaulted by four black men. They also had property taken from them.

The 28-year-old victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the 51-year-old victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The case is active and under investigation.
