Two People Arrested After Chase Through Waite Park, St. Cloud
WAITE PARK - Two people have been arrested after a police chase through Waite Park and St. Cloud.
The incident began just after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday when a Waite Park police officer saw a traffic violation at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and 1st Street South. The vehicle continued northbound on 10th Avenue and then east on County Road 75. It continued down 2nd Avenue South and 2nd Street South, where the occupants appeared to throw items from the vehicle. Police were finally able to pull the vehicle over in the 4100 block of 2nd Street South in St. Cloud. As officers were talking the man and woman in the car, the driver took off again. They eventually drove to a house in the 2600 block of Atwood Drive in St. Cloud, pulled into a garage and shut the door.
The driver has been identified as 34-year-old Dwight Steele Junior of Kimball. He faces charges of fleeing police, and has a felony warrant for fleeing police in Wright County.
The passenger has been identified as 20-year-old Arianna Skutt of Princeton. She has a warrant for felony narcotics in Sherburne County.
Officers were able to recover some of the alleged tossed items from the vehicle, including drugs and paraphernalia.
No one was hurt during the incident.
