ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - A Minnesota state trooper is being treated after he was hit by a semi-truck on Interstate 94 near St. Cloud.

A State Patrol dispatcher says the accident happened about 10:40 a.m. Monday as the trooper was writing a ticket.

The dispatcher says the trooper's injuries are not considered life-threatening. Westbound traffic on I-94 was detoured while the crash was investigated. The interstate reopened just after 2 p.m. Monday.

It was the second accident injuring a state trooper since a snowstorm swept into Minnesota.

A trooper was clipped by a car Sunday night while outside his squad car trying to help at the scene of a crash on I-394 in Minneapolis. The patrol says the trooper suffered a cut left hand.
