Two Dead, 5 Hurt in Motorcycle Crash Near North Branch
NORTH BRANCH -- A Milaca couple died in motorcycle crash yesterday (Saturday) near North Branch.
The incident happened shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Highway 95.
The state patrol says 35-year-old Collin Orth of Milaca was riding his motorcycle eastbound with his wife, 34-year-old Sara Orth on the back, when he crossed the center line and was struck head on by a van driven by 44-year-old Mark Lindstrom of Pulaski Wisconsin.
An SUV driven by 17-year-old Jack Pierce-Alt of Cumberland, Wisconsin was also traveling westbound on Highway 95 and struck Collin Orth after the initial crash with the van.
Lindstrom and his four passengers, 44-year-old Katherine Lindstrom, 10-year-old Elizabeth Lindstrom, 15-year-old Christopher Lindstrom and 13-year-old Michael Lindstrom all suffered from non-life threatening injuries.
Pierce-Alt and his passenger 18-year-old William Maline of Plymouth, Wisconsin were not hurt in the crash.
Collin Orth died on the scene, Sara Orth was taken to North Memorial Hospital and later died.
