Two Car Crash Leaves One Dead in Mille Lacs County

MILLE LACS -- The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a fatal crash just after 7:00 p.m. last night (Friday).

21-year-old Autumn Hardy, of Bemidji, was driving a 2004 Buick Century northbound on highway 169.

Hardy drove on the shoulder and lost control after hitting some ice.

Her car then turned into southbound traffic, where she was hit broadside by a 1995 Mercury Mystique.

39-year-old Rodney Brown was the driver that hit Hardy.

Hardy sustained serious injuries while her passenger, 49-year-old Linda Sam of Wakhon, was pronounced dead.

Brown suffered non-life threatening injuries.
