Two Arrested In Connection With Wright County Death Investigation

MONTROSE -- Two people were arrested in connection to a death investigation in Wright County over the weekend.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. yesterday (Sunday) morning in the 500 block of 1st Street North in Montrose.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty says they received calls of an unconscious man lying on the roadway in the area.

The man was later identified as 18-year-old Justin Harvey from Montrose.

Hagerty says preliminary investigation says Harvey approached a pickup truck parked on the roadway and became involved in a confrontation with the passenger. The vehicle then sped away dragging Harvey a short distance.

Harvey was treated at the scene by deputies before he was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center. He later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Hagerty says two adults were arrested and taken to the Wright County Jail in connection to the investigation. Their names have not been released.

They face charges of Criminal Vehicular Operations and Robbery.
