ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud Police arrested two St. Cloud State University Football players outside of the Press Bar last night for disorderly conduct at around 1:45 a.m.

22-year-old Renard Richard Groce Robinson and 23-year-old Marvin Matthews were both arrested for alleged disorderly conduct after an argument and confrontation.

According to police, Robinson was yelling and swearing, causing a disturbance.

Robinson says he was assaulted before police arrived, but wouldn't cooperate with officers. Robinson was arrested for disorderly conduct after a short struggle.

During the arrest, Matthews disobeyed orders by police to stay back. Matthews took a running start and plowed through an officer in an attempt to get to Robinson.

Officers had to spray Matthews with pepper spray and struggle with him to take him into custody. Matthews is facing charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.

Both were taken to the Stearns County Jail. No injuries were reported.

According to the St. Cloud State University athletics page, Matthews is a senior defensive back and Robinson is a senior wide receiver. The Huskies upset top seeded Minnesota State Mankato in the second round of the playoffs yesterday afternoon.
