Twins Start 3-Game Series at Cleveland Tonight; Morneau Returns
The Twins took the day off Thursday and will begin a 3-game series at Cleveland against the Indians tonight at 6:05, pregame on WJON at 5:35. Righthander Carl Pavano (6-9) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Justin Masterson (9-7) toes the rubber for the Indians. Minnesota is 52-65 and is 10 games back of Detroit for first place in the American League Central. Cleveland is 3 games back of the Tigers in the AL Central.
First baseman Justin Morneau is expected to be activated from the 15-day disabled list prior to tonight's game. Outfielder Jason Repko will either be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sore shoulder or optioned to triple-A Rochester.
