The Twins received a mixed bag of starting pitching Tuesday at Target Field, with a win in game one and a sloppy loss in game two of a doubleheader.

Kevin Correia lasted seven innings for his fourth consecutive start to begin the season, and Oswaldo Arcia hit a three-run home run to pace a 4-3 Twins win in game one.

With the Twins trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Arcia hit a three-run blast into Target Plaza in right field for a 4-1 lead that would hold up until the end. Brian Dozier added three hits from the leadoff spot, and Justin Morneau was 1-4 with the Twins' only other RBI.

Correia allowed two runs on five hits, striking out five while walking only one to improve to 2-1 on the season. Glen Perkins struck out the side in a perfect ninth inning to earn his sixth save in six chances.

Mike Pelfrey struggled on the mound for the Twins, allowing three runs on three hits in the first inning and a run on another three hits in the second to help the Twins to a 4-0 deficit after two in an 8-5 loss.

Pelfrey held the Fish scoreless in the third and fourth innings, but failed to get out of the fifth inning when he was pulled for Anthony Swarzak. Pelfrey ended the game with a line of 4.2 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 1 BB and 2 K to take the loss. On the season, he is 2-2 with a 7.94 ERA.

Despite the fact the Marlins are dead last in hitting in MLB, every Miami player in the lineup had at least one hit off Twins pitching in game two. Six Miami hitters had multi-hit games.

The Twins are off until Thursday when they begin a four-game series with the Rangers at Target Field.
