Twins Score First Spring Win Behind Worley
The Minnesota Twins won for the first time in three spring games on Monday afternoon in Fort Myers.
Vance Worley pitched two strong innings and Justin Morneau smashed a bases-clearing double in Minnesota’s 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Worley gave up two hits in his spring debut while striking out one during the afternoon. Joe Mauer was 0-2 with a walk and a run scored and Brian Dozier had a single and an RBI.
The Twins will take on the Blue Jays Tuesday afternoon (12:00, WJON).
