Twins Rally To Beat Brewers 9-7
The Twins rallied to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-7 Sunday to win 2 of 3 games against the Brewers on the weekend. Minnesota fell behind 6-1 but scored 3 runs in the 4th inning and added 4 more in the 7th ining to surge in front. Jim Thome hit a solo homerun his 595th in his career and Rene Tosoni hit a 3-run homerun for Minnesota. Danny Valencia and Michael Cuddyer each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Twins.
Phil Dumatrait threw 1 inning of scoreless relief to earn the win and Glen Perkins bailed out Matt Capps in the 9th inning to grab his first career save. The Twins improve to 36-46 and is now 8 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central.
