MINNEAPOLIS -- Losers of five straight, the Minnesota Twins worked out some frustration in today's 8-1 stomping of the Los Angeles Angels.

Rookie Tyler Duffey got the start for the Twins and continued to be impressive -- pitching seven shutout innings to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Twins hitters notched 12 hits off Angels pitchers, including home runs by Torii Hunter, Eddie Rosario and Joe Mauer as Minnesota built an 8-0 lead.

With the win, the Twins improve to 76-73 on the season -- 2 1/2 games out of the final A.L. Wildcard spot.

The Twins have tomorrow off before starting a home series against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night.
