Twins Place Mijares On DL; Hoey Optioned To Triple-A

The Twins have placed lefthander Jose Mijares on the 15-day disabled list with a sore left elbow.  He has a 5.40 ERA in 11 2/3 innings for the Twins this season.  The Twins also optioned righthander Jim Hoey to triple-A Rochester.  He has a 9.72 ERA in 8 1/3 innings for the Twins this season.  Minnesota called up righthander Anthony Swarzak and lefthander Phil Dumatrait from triple-A Rochester to take their roster spots.  Swarzak has a 3.90 ERA in 6 starts at triple-A.  Dumatrait has a 1.15 ERA in 15 relief appearances at triple-A.  The Twins are also saying that righthander Kevin Slowey has a sore right arm.
