The Twins could not string hits together once again Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Minnesota is now 54-52 on the season and 4-12 since the all star break.

Phil Hughes took the loss for the Twins after allowing three runs on five hits and two walks. Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki each hit solo home runs for the Jays as Hughes has now allowed 27 home runs on the season.

Torii Hunter's bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the fourth inning was all the Twins could muster, with only five baserunners the entire game (two hits and three walks).

The Blue Jays now lead the Twins by one game in the wild card race. Minnesota plays game three of their four game series with the Jays Wednesday night in Toronto. First pitch on WJON is scheduled for 6:07 PM.
