Cleveland topped the Twins 5-0 at Target Field on Wednesday night. Minnesota finished the game 0-8 with runners in scoring position.

Ricky Nolasco allowed four runs on eight hits and one walk in 6.2 innings pitched. The right-hander struck out six Cleveland batters in his ninth loss of the season.

Brian Dozier went 1-3 in the loss for Minnesota, but did pick up his 20th stolen base of the season.

Indians second baseman Mike Aviles went 3-4 with three runs batted in, including a solo home run off of Sam Deduno in the ninth inning.

The Twins will finish their series with Cleveland Thursday afternoon looking to avoid a sweep. Corey Kluber is the scheduled starter for the Indians against the Twins’ Phil Hughes. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 on WJON.
