Twins Likely To Promote Catcher, Lehmann
The Twins have optioned catcher Steve Holm to triple-A Rochester after hitting .118 in 17 at-bats with the Twins. Holm was sent to Rochester after the game against Chicago Wednesday. The Twins will likely call-up catcher Danny Lehmann from Triple-A Rochester. Lehmann was batting .280 with 1 homerun and 3 RBIs in 25 at-bats at triple-A. Lehman began the season at Double-A New Britain where he hit .462. Lehmann is a 25-year old righthanded hitter. The other triple-A catcher option for the Twins in Rene Rivera who is hitting .200. Twins officials confirmed that the team has not signed a free agent catcher. The Twins continue to play without catcher Joe Mauer. Mauer is on the disabled list with bilateral leg weakness. He is out indefinetly.
