Twins Host White Sox Tonight; Nishioka Close

The Twins host the Chicago White Sox tonight after getting a day off Monday.  Minnesota and Chicago begin a 3-game series at 7:10 tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Carl Pavano (3-5) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Gavin Floyd (6-5) toes the rubber for the White Sox.  Minnesota is 26-39 and 9 1/2 games back of Cleveland and Detroit for first place in the American League Central.  The Twins may get shortstop/2nd baseman Tsuyoshi Nishioka back as early as tonight.  He was 2-3 at the plate playing shortstop at triple-A Rochester Monday night.  Joe Mauer caught for Class A Fort Myers and was 1-4 at the plate.  Mauer could be back as early as Thursday.
