Twins Fall to Rays 6-3, Nolasco Looks Good in Spring Debut

PORT CHARLOTTE – The Minnesota Twins lost their first Spring Training game on Sunday, falling to the Tampa Bay Rays 6-3.

Pitcher Ricky Nolasco made his first start of the spring, allowing two hits in two scoreless innings. Nolasco signed a four-year $49 million deal with the Twins during the offseason.

Oswaldo Arcia and Brandon Waring both homered for the Twins in the contest. Taylor Motter added an RBI single for Minnesota.

The Twins have split-squad action on Monday, and will host the Toronto Blue Jays at Hammond Stadium at 12:00 p.m. You can hear that game on AM1390 The Fan
