The Twins downed Cleveland 6-3 Sunday afternoon to win 2 of 3 games from the Indians in the weekend series.  Scott Diamond threw 7 innings with 7 hits and 3 runs (0 earned) with 2 strikeouts and no walks to get the win and improve to 4-1.  Matt Capps threw a scoreless 9th inning to get the save, his 12th.  Trevor Plouffe went 3-4 with a run scored, Josh Willingham had 2 hits, a run and 1 RBI and Brian Dozier went 2-3 with a run scored for the Twins.

Minnesota is 20-33 and will begin a 3-game series at Kansas City against the Royals at 7:10 tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:40.  Righthander Cole DeVries (0-1) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Will Smith (1-1) toes the rubber for the Royals.

Twins catcher Joe Mauer suffered a sprained thumb and left the game early.  The injury isn't considered serious and it's unclear how long Mauer might be out.
