ARLINGTON, TX -- The Minnesota Twins' June swoon continued Saturday, as the Texas Rangers pounded Twins pitchers en route to an 11-7 defeat.

Minnesota has struggled offensively this month, but looked to get on track as RBI doubles by Eddie Rosario and Joe Mauer gave the Twins a 3-1 lead in the third inning.

The Rangers came right back in the next two innings, scoring seven more runs off of Twins starter Mike Pelfrey -- who was taken out after Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland blasted a three-run home run to give Texas an 8-3 lead.

J.R. Graham came in to relieve Pelfrey but got off to a rocky start as Rangers rookie Joey Gallo welcomed him with a 471-foot blast into the upper deck in right field to extend the Texas lead to 9-3.

Trailing 11-3, Minnesota scored four runs in the ninth inning but it wasn't enough as the Twins fall to 33-28 on the season.

The Twins will try to avoid the sweep today in Texas as Phil Hughes will take the mound against Rangers starter Nick Martinez with first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
