The Twins called up outfielder Clete Thomas from triple-A Rochester Monday after optioning first baseman/outfielder Chris Colabello to triple-A Rochester on Sunday after the game against Seattle.  Colabello was just 2-15 at the plate and appeared in only 6 games.

Thomas was hitting .296 with 9 homeruns and 25 RBIs at triple-A Rochester.  Thomas is a 29-year veteran who had a stint with the Twins in 2012 as well.  He hit .143 with 1 homerun and 4 RBIs with the Twins last season.

The Twins are off today and will begin a 3-game series and 6-game road trip at Kansas City Tuesday night at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.
