The Twins made a pair of defensive mistakes in their 3-2 loss at Cleveland Friday night.  Minnesota took a 2-1 lead in the 8th inning when Tsuyoshi Nishioka singled in Danny Valencia from 2nd base.  Nishioka made an error in the bottom of the 8th before Ben Revere failed to catch a looping liner that score the game-winning run.  Justin Morneau and Alexi Casilla returned to the lineup but Michael Cuddyer sat out the game after sustaining a neck injury during batting practice.  Morneau was 0-4 and Casilla was 1-3 before leaving the game early.  Nishioka had 2 RBIs and Danny Valencia added 2 hits.

Carl Pavano allowed 10 hits and 1 earned run in 7 1/3 innings.  Glen Perkins took the loss in relief.  The Twins and Cleveland Indiana play the 2nd game of the 3-game series tonight at 6:05, pregame on WJON at 5:30.
