Twins Beat Mets 4-3; Mauer Plays

Twins beat the New York Mets 4-3 in exhibition play in Fort Myers, Florida Wednesday afternoon.  Joe Mauer made his exhibition debut and went 1-3 as the designated hitter.  Danny Valencia went 2-2 with a run scored, Denard Span hit a solo homerun and Justin Morneau 0-3 playing first base.  Brian Duensing threw 4 innings with 5 hits and 2 runs allowed and Joe Nathan threw 1 shutout inning.  The Twins play the Tigers in Lakeland, Florida at 12:05 today.  Minnesota is 10-8 this spring.
