The Twins beat the L.A. Dodgers 1-0 Wednesday afternoon behind a great performance from starting pitcher Scott Baker.  Baker threw 7 1/3 innings with 6 hits and 1 walk with 9 strikeouts to get the win and improve to 6-5.  Glen Perkins recorded the final 2 outs of the 8th inning and Matt Capps threw a scoreless 9th inning for his 13th save.

Ben Revere first inning off with a triple and scored on a Tsuyoshi Nishioka groundout for the only run of the game.  Revere had 2 hits on the day.

Minnesota improves to 34-45 and is now 8 games back of Detroit and Cleveland for first place in the American League Central.  Minnesota is off today and will host Milwaukee beginning a 3-game series Friday night at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40.
