The Twins defeated the Tigers 4-1 Saturday afternoon after losing the first 7 meetings with Detroit this season. Scott Baker came off the disabled list and threw 5 shutout innings with 3 hits allowed and 5 strikeouts. The bullpen threw 4 innings with 1 earned run allowed to close the game. Joe Nathan threw a scoreless 9th inning to grab his 7th save. Danny Valencia hit a solo homerun, Michael Cuddyer had a RBI single and Delmon Young contributed a 2-run double.
