Truck, Police Car Involved in PIT Maneuver in Grove Township

GROVE TOWNSHIP - A truck and a police car were damaged during a PIT maneuver in Grove Township early this morning.

Stearns County deputies report they attempted to stop a pick-up truck for speeding on County Rd 30  at about 2:30 a.m. The driver of the truck lost control and drove into a field. The driver then turned off the truck's headlights in an attempt to lose officers. Officers used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle.

The occupants were arrested.

Alcohol is reported to have played a factor. Criminal charges are pending.
