Troopers: Minnesota Man Crashes, Left Daughter
ST. PAUL (AP) - The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a man who they say crashed his car and left his injured 12-year-old daughter alone at the scene in St. Paul.
A search warrant was made public Wednesday that shows the patrol tested the 41-year-old man's blood for a controlled substance. The affidavit says a trooper believed he was under the influence during the Sunday crash. He hasn't been charged.
Troopers say he drove into a wall on a highway. They say he fled the scene, leaving his daughter alone in a thunderstorm.
Responders transported the girl to a hospital. Her condition was unclear Wednesday.
Authorities didn't say how or where they found the man.
