MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A motorcyclist accused of leading state troopers on a long chase in the Twin Cities is jailed and awaiting charges.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the chase began when multiple complaints were received about a group of speeding motorcyclists. The trooper pursued the lead bike on a chase through the Twin Cities Saturday night that lasted an hour.

Speeds reached more than 100 mph. The 27-year-old Brooklyn Park man eventually ditched his bike and fled on foot. The patrol says he was captured about 45 minutes later.
