ST. CLOUD -- A jury trial is scheduled to begin today for an Albany man already serving a three year prison sentence on assault and domestic abuse convictions.

35-year-old Brian Andvik faces additional charges stemming from a domestic assault against his estranged wife.

Andvik faces three charges of first-degree burglary, three charges for violating a no contact order and a charge of violating an order for protection.

The new charges stem from a January 2010 incident when Andvik allegedly went to his estranged wife's home, used a key to get inside and confronted her. The woman locked herself in the bedroom and pressed the panic button on the house alarm.

Records show Andvik fled the scene and was arrested at his father's home nearby.
