Train Hits Street Sweeper in Wayzata

WAYZATA  (AP) - The driver of a street sweeper escaped with minor injuries after the vehicle was struck by a train and pushed down some railroad tracks in Wayzata.

Hennepin County sheriff's officials say the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train hit the sweeper broadside on the driver's side about 6 a.m. Wednesday in the downtown area.

The accident tied up morning traffic.
