COTTONWOOD -- A train derailment has spilled 23 cars of corn in the southwestern Minnesota town of Cottonwood.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe train derailed Friday evening.

Crews were working Saturday to clean up the corn and clear the cars.

The northbound train was headed to Willmar when the cars tipped about 6:30 p.m. No one was hurt.

A nearby county road was closed Saturday so crews could get equipment in to clean up the site.

Officials are investigating the cause of the derailment.
