Tow Truck Driver Killed While On The Job In St. Wendel Township
ST. WENDEL TOWNSHIP -- A Tow truck driver from St. Cloud was killed while on the job yesterday afternoon.
Stearns County Sheriff's Office chief deputy Bruce Bechtold says around 4:05 p.m. 45-year-old Christopher Clavin who was working at Collins Brothers Towing was retrieving a disabled semi size tow truck. The disabled truck needed to be moved from Protech Repair along County Road Two in St. Wendel Township to have an engine put in.
Workers at Protech say they saw Clavin connecting the two tow trucks and at one point they heard him shout. The disabled semi rolled over Clavin's body and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol and Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident.
