COLD SPRING -- An 11 mile section along Highway 23 from Wakefield Township to Richmond will be dedicated to fallen Cold Spring Police officer, Tom Decker.

Memorial signs are expected to be placed along that stretch in the coming weeks, a plan that's been in the works since Decker's muder.

Cold Spring City administrator, Paul Hetland says there have been a few issues regarding state and federal sign regulations.

Hetland says plans for the dedication ceremony have been put on hold pending confirmation of the sign's design from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Funding for the highway memorial project has been made possible through private donations.
