Todd L. Steffen, 52, Brainerd

Todd L. Steffen, 52, of Brainerd, died October 4, 2014 at his home. Services will be at a later date.

Todd was born August 2, 1962, in Brainerd, the son of LeRoy and Rochelle (DeZurik) Steffen. After attending Brainerd High School, Todd was employed by a few different companies: Larco, Steffen Tree Service - where he worked with his brother, Dan, and he also worked with his Uncle Keith delivering and cutting wood. He currently was employed at Brainerd Productive Alternatives. Todd loved being outside and being active. He liked the water – fishing, swimming or canoeing. He also enjoyed biking, snowmobiling, or 3 wheeling. Todd was a Yatzee Champion. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand and loved helping others. He was a kind, gentle man who cherished spending time with his family – he was the “fun uncle”. He liked watching sports with his mom or playing with his nieces and nephews. He was Gravy Groovy. Todd had a very strong faith.

His family will always remember Todd as being (in his words) super duper Alice Cooper. He will be missed by his mom, Rochelle Whitney; siblings, Cherri (Alan) Rajdl, of Grand Rapids, Daniel (Cheryl) Steffen, of Brainerd, Randy (Jody) Steffen, of Orlando, FL, Cindy (Ron) Fenske, of Little Falls, Amanda (Brandon) Muyres, of Holdingford, Samantha (Jeremy) Johnson, of Browerville, Missy (Jeremy) Bartkowicz, of Swanville, Selena (Ron) Jacobson, of Sobieski, RaeAnn Hassler, of Oshkosh, WI, and Michael (Roberta) Whitney, of Minneapolis; apartment mates, Tim, Nathan, and Phillip; and special friend, Rachael. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy and his brother, Gene.
