TODD COUNTY -- The Todd County Sheriff's Office is warning people of a possible scam.

Deputies say they were alerted around 11:30 a.m. Friday that people with a southern accent who claim to be from Georgia are telling senior citizens that they are entitled to get a free health insurance card in the mail. Seniors are told when they accept the card  money will be put into their bank account.

Homeowners were asked for their personal information. The Sheriff's Office says you should not submit any personal information  including banking or routing numbers to anyone who says they will send you a health insurance card for free health insurance.

If you think you or someone you know is a victim of this scam contact your local authorities.
