The Timberwolves had 6'8 guard/forward Nicolas Batum visit Minnesota Sunday night.  He is a restricted free agent from Portland.

Batum averaged 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds a game in 2011-2012.  He is considered a defensive specialist.

The Timberwolves are expected to offer him a 4-year $50 Million contract.  If he signs a contract with the Wolves the Trailblazers would have 3 days to match that offer.

The Timberwolves have also shown interest in unrestricted free agents 6'11 center Greg Stiemsma from Boston, 6'10 power forward Jordan Hill from the L.A. Lakers and shooting guards Brandon Roy and Jamal Crawford from Portland.

The Wolves met with Roy in Seattle this past weekend.  Roy is coming out of retirement at 27-years old.  He's had chronic knee problems.
