Timberwolves Lose Summer League Game; Batum Decision Coming Today
The Timberwolves lost 81-78 to Charlotte in Las Vegas in the summer league. Wes Johnson led the Wolves for a 2nd straight game with 24 points and Derrick Williams added 17 points for Minnesota. 2nd round pick Robbie Hummel scored 6 points off the bench.
The Wolves are 1-1 this summer and will play Cleveland at 7pm in Las Vegas Thursday.
Portland has until 11pm (Central Time) tonight to match the Timberwolves 4-year $46 Million offer sheet on small forward Nicolas Batum. Portland is expected to match the offer. Batum is a 23-year old 6'8 small forward who averaged 13.9 points a game for Portland in 2011-2012.
