The Minnesota Timberwolves nearly pulled off a miracle comeback last night but came up a bit short in a 100-98 loss to Portland at Target Center.

Portland led by 19 points as the fourth quarter began, but the Wolves caught fire and scored on 20 of their first 22 possessions in the fourth in cutting the lead to two points.

However, Dante Cunningham misfired on a shot as time expired to give Portland the victory. Ricky Rubio led the Wolves with 15 points and 14 assists, a career high.

The Wolves are back at it tomorrow night at home against San Antonio.
