ST. CLOUD -- If you were at Hockey Day Minnesota in St. Cloud last month there's a good chance you sampled the donut holes, known as Timbits, from Tim Hortons.  We now know when you will be able to go buy a donut and coffee from their new store.

Saturday, February 24th will be the opening day for the St. Cloud location. They will open their doors at 8:00 a.m. The new 2,000 square foot restaurant has been built at 200 25th Avenue South.

They'll be open seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

They are in the process of hiring staff right now, including bakers and guest services workers.  They plan to have 25 to 30 employees.

The Tim Hortons brand first announced plans to come to Minnesota in 2016.  They already have nine stores in the state, with St. Cloud being the 10th location.  Brainerd, Bemidji and International Falls the other locations outside of the Twin Cities metro area. They are all owned and operated by the group called Restaurant Development Partners, Corp.

The St. Cloud city council and Planning Commission gave their approval for the project about a year ago in March of 2017.
