Torii Hunter hit a two-run home run in the top of the first inning against his old team Sunday in a 5-2 Tigers win over the Twins. The blast, off starter PJ Walters, was Hunter's 300th career homer.

Austin Jackson hit a two run home run in the fourth inning to give Detroit a 4-0 lead.

The Twins got on the board in the sixth when Brian Dozier hit a solo blast into the left field bleachers to cut the Tiger lead to 4-1.

Clete Thomas added an RBI single for Minnesota in the eighth to make the score 4-2, but that was as close as the Twins would get.

The Twins again finished a game with only three hits, the third time in their past four contests.

Minnesota is off Monday before hosting the White Sox at Target Field for a three game series beginning Tuesday night.
