ST. CLOUD -- You can dance the night away and help the hungry and homeless in the St. Cloud area all in one night.

Tickets are still available for Catholic Charities 36th Annual Mardi Gras fundraiser, held at the River's Edge Convention Center next Saturday.

Catholic Charities Executive Director Steve Pareja says this is one of their biggest fundraisers and benefits several programs.

"It benefit's Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf and Catholic Charities Domus Transitional Housing. That's a program that helps homeless women with children have a place to get on their feet."

The evening runs from 5:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. and features a social hour with music by Vista Jazz Club, a silent auction, a gourmet dinner and dancing to the Fabulous Armadillos.

Pareja says while the event is geared to helping two of their services they provide, they are always looking on how they can better serve the Diocese.

"We would love to reach every community across the Diocese of St. Cloud, truly sometimes it's the resources that limit us. But we're looking how we can grow across to the Diocese to serve those in need."

Pareja says they have about 80 tickets left and the event has sold out in the past.

Tickets are $95 and can be found on Catholic Charities website or by calling 320-650-1643.
