Thunderstorms Rumble Through Central Minnesota

Steven Sohlstrom

ST. CLOUD – A round of strong thunderstorms moved through the area overnight.

There were thunderstorm warnings for Stearns, Benton, Morrison and Todd counties, and a tornado warning for Sherburne county.  Some small hail, winds up to 60 miles an hour, and heavy rain reported around the area.  A few funnel clouds were also detected in the Big Lake and Elk River areas.

We picked-up about three-quarters of an inch of rain here at the radio station.
