UNDATED - An approaching cold front will spark rain and thunderstorms later today which will sweep across central and southern Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin this afternoon through early morning Sunday.

Some storms may produce heavy rain which would create or exacerbate ongoing problem problems from recent heavy rains. In addition, some storms may be strong to severe with damaging winds.

The storms will exit to the east by late morning Sunday but scattered light rain showers may fill in over the entire region mid-to-late day Sunday.

Cooler and drier conditions are then expected for much of the upcoming week.
