The Thunder Bay Border Cats beat the St. Cloud Rox 5-2 Monday night at Joe Faber Field. The loss drops the Rox to 5-11 on the second half of the season and 30-22 overall.

The Border Cats scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to earn the win. St. Cloud entered the top of the ninth with a 2-1 lead, but Thunder Bay tied the game on a single, two walks and a game-tying balk.

A triple plated cleared the bases and the Border Cats would add another run on a double before finally relenting, holding a 5-1 lead.

The Rox will host Thunder Bay again Tuesday night at Faber Field, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05. The game can be heard on AM 1390 Granite City Sports.
